Air receiver tanks are essential to compressed air systems, as they allow the system to perform efficiently. They also serve as temporary storage. The tanks enable you to use air when the compressor is not running. Apart from this, they also supply additional air to the system during periods of high usage.
The advantages of Silk gas storage tanks are:
The gas storage tank is particularly strong and durable due to the huge pressure it bears.
The air storage tank can save the trouble of opening the compressor system with only a few seconds of air. This reduces the cost of using a compressor. Electrical use and maintenance costs have also been reduced. Then, as the amount of use increases, air can be stored.
The pressure change is balanced by the start / stop switch, and the sequence of the compressor can be adjusted.
4. The condensate can be removed from the stored air, which adds more moisture to the air system. The drain trap is equipped with a drain pipe. This helps remove water from the air system and provides better gas to the rear equipment.
One method to estimate the receiver size is this formula:
V = (Q x Pa) / (P1 + Pa)
Where:
V = receiver size in cubed feet
Q = compressor output in cfm
Pa = standard atmospheric pressure in psia
P1 = compressed pressure in psig
